"There is power in our love for God and for His children, and when that love is tangibly manifest in millions of acts of Christian kindness, it will sweeten and nourish the world with the life sustaining nectar of faith, hope, and charity" -Elder M. Russell Ballard (Click on the picture to read this great talk!)

What and Why?

Excellent questions.  What is this about, and why would I write, when there are millions of blogs in this world wide web?

What:  This blog is intended to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the scriptures and inspired manuals with the Holy Ghost as my guide.
Topics to be covered each post:
Nature of God
How the Gospel blesses us
Dispensations
The Savior
Apostasy
Restoration
Another testament of Jesus Christ
Prayer

Why:
#1. For myself.  I have many thoughts that seem to get tangled on their way out of my mouth.  The path from my brain to my fingers is the more direct method, and in the process I learn too.

#2. For you.  I have truly great things to share that will benefit everyone who is open to receive it.  It's nothing that hasn't been said before, but maybe the way I have to say it will ring true to somebody.

#3. I can't stop thinking about it. I've heard before to "Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about" (unknown).  Maybe actually doing something will quiet my mind!

A little about me...
I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), also known as Mormons.  I'm a stay-at-home mother of three great kids.  Being a mother has had a way of teaching me more about patience, love and forgiveness that I couldn't have developed in any other way.  I am definitely not perfect, but I know God has sent these children to me for a reason.  As I look back on the last six years of mothering I am amazed at how much my perspective and character has developed.  However...there is always room for improvement.

I intend to update my blog each Saturday...that's my goal anyway.  So look for it if you are interested in learning more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the life of your average member of the LDS church.  I'm not exactly a scholar so I will be basing my blogs on the "Preach My Gospel" manual, so I hope I am able to cover the basics.  Feel free to leave questions and I will try to answer.  The websites lds.org and mormon.org are amazing resources to answer questions as well.

Thanks for reading!
