"There is power in our love for God and for His children, and when that love is tangibly manifest in millions of acts of Christian kindness, it will sweeten and nourish the world with the life sustaining nectar of faith, hope, and charity" -Elder M. Russell Ballard (Click on the picture to read this great talk!)

The Book of Mormon

After Jesus was crucified and resurrected, the Apostles were also killed and truly what followed were dark times.  There were many people seeking for pure truth, but it couldn't be found.

God knew that certain truths about Christianity would be changed over time, so He directed men to keep another record that contained the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ called the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

Joseph Smith was shown where he could find the book, written on gold plates and hidden since about 421 A.D.  This record contained writings from prophets who inhabited ancient America.

Joseph Smith was given the power by God to translate the record.  It tells about the resurrected Christ appearing to the people in America.  He taught and blessed them.  He established His Church.  The Book of Mormon shows that God knows all His children and provides guidance in all generations.

In order to know the Book of Mormon is true, you must do more than just learn the facts; you must actually read it and ponder on it's teachings, and ask God if it is true.  If you are honestly seeking to know the truth, you will find it and know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

"But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God."
Moroni 7:13
